4 Fun Holiday Gift Ideas For Writers
1. Pens –
I have always had a “thing” for pens. Good pens. The type that cost upwards of $50 and have a body like Sofia Vergara. An in this day and age where tablets, smartphones and other tech rules the roost – the pen is a mighty fine device in its own right. You can choose from Mont Blanc, the creme de la creme of pens or other fine brands like: Levenger, Myron, Pelikan, Cross, Waterman and Namiki – to name a few.
2. Foldable Whiteboard –
Think Geek has this super awesome foldable whiteboard that you can literally place in your pocket or purse and take with you on the go. How? Because basically this item is 27 mini whiteboards that unfold into one big whiteboard. When folded, it measures approx. 3″ x 5″ x 0.2″ and unfolded: approx. 15″ x 27″. This clever gift idea is sure to delight any writer worth his or her salt as writers love to jot down copious amounts of notes. Give your favorite writer, the foldable portable whiteboard for a delight like no other.
3. Domain and Webhosting –
I have to admit I borrowed this idea from the good folks at Writing Spark, they too featured a piece on good gifts for writers, and they mentioned in their article the idea of giving a domain name and hosting to an existing or would be writer. Hosting is not free or cheap, in fact – good hosting from a reputable provider can set you back at least $100 per year. So this would make an excellent gift idea for any freelance writer who has or wants a site.
4. Books –
Kathryn Vercillo mentions books would make a great idea for writers, and we agree – because aside from writing the next best thing to a writer is reading. We are voracious readers. If you want to personalize it further, you can always dig around a little and see what types of books your fave writer is into. Maybe it’s autobiographies? Or History? or Art? Whatever the topic, you’ll find loads to choose from on Amazon.
The writers in your life, will squeal with delight with any of these gift ideas. Hope we have given you food for thought as it relates to good Holiday gift ideas for writers. Enjoy.
